Using an example, it illustrates how difficult it is to uncover the root cause of chronic pain, even though this is essential for a successful approach.
As osteopaths, we fully agree with the approach described by this pain coach. However, we would also encourage you not to overlook the path to an osteopath. Since an osteopath includes the entire body in their examination and omits no part, they are typically able to find the cause of the pain complaint. In doing so, they lay the foundation for a successful treatment. For instance, the cause of Eugenie de Ruiter’s chronic pain might well lie in a part of the brainstem—an area an osteopath is well-equipped to address.
