Proven quality

In the Netherlands, osteopathy is not regulated by the government. Regulation and supervision of quality are in the hands of the Dutch Register of Osteopathy (NRO). The NRO is designated by the professional association (NVO) as the quality register for osteopathy in the Netherlands, but has an independent position. The NRO has a Registration Committee, Accreditation Committee, Complaints Committee, Supervisory Board and Appeals Board, among others.

Safe in experienced hands

Osteopathy is a safe treatment method based on principles from anatomy, physiology, neurology and embryology. The osteopath treats adults, children, babies and pregnant women. In the Netherlands, osteopaths are united in the NVO, the Dutch Association for Osteopathy, which is part of a larger organization that includes a quality register and a foundation for scientific research.
