When does a case truly make sense?
When you can explain why symptoms arise at this exact moment.
And why the body itself is failing to recover.

Recently, our osteopath Marc van Leeuwen saw a 30-year-old woman with persistent neck complaints. In addition, she struggled with difficulty swallowing.
Coincidence?

Her history — and what she had experienced at a young age — proved to be an essential link in the whole.
– The body keeps the score –
Experiences are not only stored mentally, but also physically.

And after a very gentle technique on the connective tissue of the cervical region, her body reacted remarkably intensely: a temporary increase in the recognizable neck and upper back complaints. That exact reaction provided further confirmation of our hypothesis.

The connection can be well explained both anatomically and neurologically, but it remains extraordinary to see how the body reacts when you address the right structure — and how recovery then finds its space.
In episode 28 of our podcast Osteo Talkings, we take you through this case and explain the connections step by step.
