“It must be a placebo…”
A thought I hear often. And honestly? It is a valid question.

How do you know if a treatment truly stimulates the self-healing capacity—and isn’t just a temporary placebo effect?

For me, there are two important indicators:
1. The (often intense) after-effects in the first few days following treatment
2. The long-term evaluation

As in this case, which truly energizes me.

A 14-year-old dedicated soccer player came to me with persistent complaints in her hip, groin, and knee. She had been struggling with this since the age of 11—playing injury-free had long since ceased to be a given.

Safety tests were negative. Previous medical trajectories had yielded no lasting results. Provocation tests of the hip immediately triggered recognizable pain. Rotation proved to be limited.

My attention was initially drawn to the connective tissue at the level of the brainstem—an area essential for muscle tension regulation.

Presumably caused by an old and severe injury: a fall from a climbing frame at the age of 3.

After the first treatment:
• Increase in pain in the groin, hip, and knee
• Extreme fatigue
• Noticeable warmth for three days
Afterward: a clear decrease in pain symptoms.

In the two subsequent sessions, we worked on intraosseous tension of the sacrum—presumably originating from a fall on a trampoline when she was 7.

Here too, there was a strong reaction with an increase in groin and knee pain, followed by structural improvement.

Four months after the initial consultation: symptom-free.
