In the spring, a patient who was originally being treated for a different complaint presented with severe hay fever symptoms. He had suffered from this for years, but during this time of year, the symptoms were so intense that he could barely sleep. <\/p>\n
The immune system plays a central role in hay fever and allergies. During the treatment, it became clear that the lymphatic system around the ethmoid sinus and sphenoid sinus\u2014the cavities behind the forehead\u2014required extra attention. These areas appeared to be strained due to exposure to chemical substances at a young age. <\/p>\n
Upon further inquiry, the patient shared that in his twenties, he worked as a service technician at Rank Xerox. He performed maintenance on printers and had to work daily over rotating print drums, which resulted in prolonged exposure to released ink and chemical fumes. This eventually led to chronic sinusitis. <\/p>\n
The symptoms became so severe that he later underwent sinus surgery, unfortunately without lasting results. It was notable that his colleagues developed similar complaints as well. Ultimately, the patient decided to leave this job after four years. <\/p>\n
The patient responded very strongly during the first treatment. He experienced frequent sneezing, a runny nose, itchy eyes, and later even nosebleeds. Nevertheless, he noticed a clear improvement after just two treatments. The hay fever symptoms decreased significantly, especially at night, allowing him to sleep better. <\/p>\n
We therefore decided to monitor the situation for the time being and re-evaluate how the hay fever develops next spring.<\/p>\n
