Anyone familiar with this ailment knows better than anyone how painful this problem can be, often leaving patients willing to crawl across the floor. An increased concentration of waste products in the urine is cited as the cause. This, in turn, is said to be caused by certain foods high in calcium and oxalate. <\/p>\n

As osteopaths, we have identified another important factor. Experience has shown us that a loss of mobility in the connective tissue around and within the kidney is found in people with kidney stones. This increased tension in the connective tissue can be a result of mechanical injuries or traumas, such as a traffic accident or a fall from a tree. In turn, this increased tension can slow down the drainage of urine, allowing the aforementioned substances to clump together more easily.
