Binnen de osteopathie staat beweeglijkheid centraal, omdat alle structuren in het lichaam goed moeten kunnen bewegen om optimaal te functioneren. Dit geldt voor onder andere gewrichten, spieren, bindweefsel, organen, bloedvaten en zenuwen. Wanneer de beweeglijkheid van deze weefsels vermindert, kan dit invloed hebben op de gezondheid en kunnen klachten ontstaan. Een osteopaat onderzoekt daarom waar bewegingsbeperkingen aanwezig zijn en hoe verschillende systemen in het lichaam elkaar be\u00efnvloeden. Vanuit osteopathisch perspectief wordt het lichaam altijd als \u00e9\u00e9n geheel bekeken, waarbij alles met elkaar in verbinding staat.<\/p>\n<h2>Hoe ontstaan klachten bij volwassenen?<\/h2>\n<p>Het lichaam beschikt over een sterk aanpassingsvermogen en is veelal in staat zichzelf te herstellen. Het fijne van Marc van Leeuwen is dat hij naast osteopaat ook Manueel therapeut en Sportfysiotherapeut geweest is. Hierdoor paste zijn benadering goed bij mij als fanatieke sporter.
