Marc van Leeuwen graduated from the International Academy of Osteopathy (I.A.O.)<\/a> <\/em>\u00a0and obtained his Master of Science in Osteopathic Medicine (MSc. Ost. Med.) from Buckinghamshire New University<\/em> in the United Kingdom in 2020. Prior to becoming an osteopath, he worked for more than ten years as a Master Manual Therapist and Sports Physiotherapist (MSc).<\/p>\n

In 2022, Marc completed the two-year specialization \u2018<\/a>Osteopathy for Children\u2019<\/a><\/span><\/strong>, further developing his knowledge and skills in the examination and treatment of babies and children. The teaching of the highly experienced and passionate osteopath Ren\u00e9 Zweedijk has had a significant influence on his development in this field. Marc also assists him during the Central Nervous System<\/em> module. Since 2023, Marc has been a lecturer at PRO Osteo<\/a><\/strong>, where he teaches within the Osteopathy for Children<\/em> programme.<\/p>\n

To further deepen his knowledge, Marc studied at the Sutherland Cranial College of Osteopathy (SCCO)<\/a><\/em><\/strong>in England, expanding his expertise in both general and paediatric osteopathy.<\/p>\n

Marc also greatly values his collaboration with osteopath Ton van der Heiden, who took him under his wing as a mentor. Marc has since integrated Ton\u2019s distinctive approach to examination into his own way of working, in which curiosity, precision and clinical expertise play a central role.<\/p>\n

Marc treats babies, children and adults, both athletes and non-athletes, with a wide variety of complaints. What fascinates him most about osteopathy is the interconnectedness of the different tissues and systems within the body. The body functions as a whole, with its different structures continuously influencing one another.<\/p>\n

For Marc, this is at the heart of osteopathic thinking: looking beyond the area where symptoms are experienced and investigating which factors within the overall pattern may be contributing to the complaint.<\/p>\n

Sten has been associated with Andromeda Center for Osteopathy since 2024. In that same year, he completed his studies at the International Academy of Osteopathy (I.A.O.)<\/a> and earned his Master of Science at Bucks New University (UK). Before that, he worked as a physiotherapist for seven years. During this period, he discovered that some complaints remained persistent and difficult to explain. His curiosity and the need for a broader view of health led him to osteopathy. The holistic approach to the human being, with a focus on supporting the body’s self-healing capacity, brought him the knowledge and skills he was looking for.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

As an osteopath, Sten looks beyond the complaint alone. He searches for possible disruptions and interconnections in the body that may contribute to the development or maintenance of complaints. He likes to actively involve his patients in the treatment process by providing insight into the origin of their complaints. His friendly, calm, and analytical approach ensures that you, as a patient, feel heard and understood.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Sten continues to develop within his profession. He is currently following a specialization in osteopathy for babies and children. A logical next step, given his experience and interest in this target group. He has also fully woven the research method, developed by osteopath and former colleague Ton van der Heiden, into his approach. This makes his treatments both personal and effective, for both acute and chronic complaints.<\/p>\n

In his treatments, Jonne finds it important to listen carefully and take the time for the story behind the complaint. Calmness, trust, and clear explanation are central to his way of treating. He likes to involve patients in the treatment process and provides explanations about his findings and the treatment.<\/p>\n

He also continues to develop within his profession. Recently, he started the two-year specialization \u2018Osteopathy for Babies and Children\u2019 at PRO Osteo. A great next step with which he deepens his knowledge and further specializes in the treatment of babies and children.<\/p>\n
